Blessed Pope John Paul II inaugurated the Third Millennium by consecrating it to Our Lady.
He also wrote an Apostolic Letter, Novo Millennio Ineunte (At the Beginning of the New Millennium) and said,
“We are certainly not seduced by the naive expectation that, faced with the great challenges of our time, we shall find some magic formula. No, we shall not be saved by a formula but by a Person, and the assurance which he gives us: I am with you! . . .
“This programme for all times is our programme for the third Millennium. . . .
“First of all, I have no hesitation in saying that all pastoral initiatives must be set in relation to holiness. . . . holiness remains more than ever an urgent pastoral task.”
This is a THREE CD set of a retreat on Blessed Pope John Paul II's Plan for the Third Millennium. It consists of four talks.
1. Personal Holiness: Become holy by knowing, loving and serving God.
2. Knowing God: The beginning of holiness through conversion and the teachings of the Church.
3. Loving God: The middle of holiness through obeying the Commandments, prayer, the Sacraments, consecration and reparation.
4. Serving God: The end of holiness through the practice of the virtues and the spiritual and corporal works of mercy.
